Lisa Smyth - Artist
Contemporary abstract artist and teacher, Lisa uses bold color and unconventional techniques to create textures that bring her paintings to life. After practicing law for several years, Lisa discovered her passion for art and never looked back. She loves the experimental aspect of acrylics and uses many different application techniques and mediums to create beautiful and unique paintings for any room in your home.
“For my abstract paintings, I just do what feels right and that has resulted in a sort of ‘wash’ technique, layering paints and then wiping and/or washing paint away with water to achieve a watercolor look. I love layering different types of paint, paper and other mediums to create whimsical and fun works of art that are full of texture.”
“I paint because I love it. I want people to look at my work and feel the positive energy of the painting. I want nothing more than to bring happiness to the viewer as they look upon my art on their wall. I thrive on promoting enjoyment through my craft.”
